Abstinence Only Education	1. A form of self-delusion that teenagers with raging hormones won't have sex before marriage. 2. A form of deception teaching young people that condoms are highly unreliable. 3. A method of sex "education" that GUARANTEES an increase in teen pregnancies and STDs.
Activist Judge	Any jurist who renders a decision that the Christian Right is unhappy with regardless of the legal merits on which the decision is based. In a new study (July, 2008) that examines “well over 20,000” judicial decisions, University of Chicago law professor Cass Sunstein concludes that the most activist judge on the Supreme Court is a conservative, Justice Antonin Scalia. The second most activist Justice was also a conservative, Justice Clarence Thomas, who was also found to be the most partisan Justice on the bench. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito were not included in the study because they have only been on the court for a short time.
Anti-Christian	A form of hyperbolic self-victimization used to frame an argument with as much separation from logic as possible. Same-sex marriage isn't about equal protection; it's anti-Christian.
Anti-Marriage	A flavor. See "anti-Christian"
Apocalyptic	Something that a Fundie really, really, really dislikes and is thus described as leading to the end of the world since their anger is universally accepted as equal to God's wrath.
Beastiality	The object of almost all same-sex marriage "slippery slope" argumentum ignoratum. Often used in conjunction with incest, polygamy and pedophilia.
Birth control	The antonym of Abstinence Only Education. Definitely not a means of reducing abortions. The you break it - you own it reproductive philosophy.
Censorship	Another chain in the "slippery slope" of same-sex marriage. Ministers will be prohibited from teaching the word of God.
Creationism	1. A strategy to introduce religion into the public schools. 2. A flawed theory of development that conforms to a fundamentalist literal interpretation of the bible. Syn: Intelligent Design
Defense of marriage	Turnspeak for "no same-sex marriages are allowed." Framing the argument as a positive with self-victimization thrown in for good measure. You are not permitting same-sex marriage; you are threatening "traditional marriage."
Democracy	That which is effected or sought by the Christian Right regardless of the majority opinion of the citizenry.
Discipline	Child abuse. The legal right to beat the hell out of your kids to make them better Christians on the advice of Jimmy Dobson.
Evolution	1. A scientific fact that is portrayed as a flawed and discredited theory because Fundies suggest that it contravenes scripture. 2. An issue that creates millions of dollars in contributions to support junk science that wouldn't stand up to the rigors of a high school chemistry experiment.
Ex-gay	Self-inflicted neurosis to please the Christian Right.
Free speech	alt "free speach" 1. Something that is somehow imperilled by GLBT civil rights. 2. A right exclusive to the Christian Right. 3. The right to verbally accost the GLBT community.
Home Schooling	A surgical procedure performed on adolescents; a one inch diameter piece of cranium is removed approximately two inches above the neck at the mid-line of the spine facilitating the direct infusion of bullshit to the cerebral cortex.
Homosexual activist	Any member if the GLBT community who voices their opposition to oppression.
Homosexual agenda	1. The universal objectives of all members of the GLBT community to obtain equal protection under the law. 2. A dog whistle signalling the supposed hidden desire of gays to have sex with Christian children.
Homosexual Lifestyle	1. A straw man suggesting that all gays are defined solely by their sexual orientation regardless of all other activities and achievements. 2. A means of degrading religious gays by objectifying their sexual orientation.
Homosexual movement	A collective form of homosexual agenda shared by all gays who are proponents of civil rights and liberties.
Liberty	The right of Christians to disparage and discriminate against the GLBT community.
Marriage Protection	Opposition to same-sex marriage on the pretense that it somehow imperils "traditional" marriage. In spite of the meaninglessness of the term, people are more likely to support an initiative that "supports" something in contrast to one that bans something. 84% of the citizens of Massachusetts now say that same-sex marriage has no negative effect on marriage, lifestyle or culture.
Media Bias	Any news report or poll from any source that the right doesn't like.
Norway	Urban legend; a Scandinavian country incorrectly used as a template for the result of same-sex marriage based upon the knowingly false talking points of someone on the Christian Right that are accepted as truth simply because they have been repeated frequently.
